This is our favorite restaurant, amazing food, people and atmosphere.
Delicious food at a great price.
Chef Michael is an amazing Chef. We stopped for lunch on our way through Burns and thoroughly enjoyed the food. My husband had the Cabbage/sausage and potatoe soup which was excellent. For the lunch course he had the Brats with Sauer Kraut. I had the spaghetti with bologneese. (Excuse the spelling..some words my phone won't type.) My grandparents are from Italy and he did a superb job. If in Burns...don't miss this restaurant. Would have never expected such delicious fine dining food in such a little town. Hats off and three cheers to the Chef.
Good eats
Had the lamb gyro! The best meal I've had in Burns.
What a pleasant surprise. My girlfriend and I stopped in for dinner after a day of travel. Everything Chef Michael offered was excellent, from the salad with spicy bleu cheese, the superb potato soup, and some top notch tilapia tacos. My girlfriend had the chicken alfredo with some perfectly al dente linguini and loved it. Next time we're in the area we'll be back for sure!
Great original recipes for a small town restaurant. The photography posted in the dinning area is stunning. Vegetarian options upon request.
What a fantastic flavor the lamb gyro!! Great conversation and friendly smiles.
So this place was extremely slow. Only two people working and one if them was very rude. Food wasn't really worth the wait and I was still hungry after. Won't be stopping by again.
Absolutely charming experience for lunch on a Friday. Fresh ingredients, excellent presentation. We both ordered the spinach salad, and all the elements were perfectly prepared and went together in a delightful way. Many thanks to Chef Michael for the personal service.
Don't be in a hurry! The cook/waitress is friendly and very nice. Food is fresh and prepared when ordered. Delicious!
One of our favorite places for dinner....always excellent with creative meals and wonderful sauces ! They now need a location on main street .
I walked by here the other night. Chef Michael asked if I was looking for something to eat, I wasn't, but I decided to go in and have a local are. I am so glad I did. After casually talking with him he mentioned that he could fire up the grill and make me some lamb chop to try. I was so impressed. They were succulent and tasty. I never expected to find this in Burns. Lucky me. I will definitely go back
Very good food. Best in town for sure
Been way too long since I had a lamb gyro from Rhojos! Delicious as always, thanks Rhonda!
Kids couldn't eat their Bolognese, wife couldn't eat the pasta alfredo, I struggled with mine too. Service without a smile.
Rhojo's is the best restaurant in Burns! My husband and I stayed in Burns for 3 nights (visiting Alvord Desert) and this was the best dinner we had in town. Food was Italian inspired with a contemporary twist. I had home made ravioli, and my husband had lasagna. Everything was in house made and fresh (we could see the chef work in the back of the restaurant). The salad was great too. We asked our wait staff to recommend a bottle of red wine and we liked it so much that we made a note of that wine to look for it in the stores. Rhojo's is better than some expensive restaurants we tried in Bend. Service was nice and the interior very pleasant. Highly recommend.
Good food. Got personal service from chef so meal was to taste. Expensive though. Not your usual spaghetti factory fare.
Excellent gyro's!
We love this place. We stop here for lunch every time we come through Burns if they are open. Best homemade soups and amazing sandwiches. High quality food and preparation.
Trust your sat nav, this place is well of the beaten track but worth the effort. As the reviews all say this is a real one man band, cook, bartender, waiter al rolled into one. We had a flat iron steak with mash and veg, the sauce was great, the meal should have been served on a warm/hot plate as the food got cold very quickly but other than that everything was really nice. Make the effort you won't be disappointed.
Fantastic lamb gyros! Great chef.
Stopped here on our travels. Had a great lunch! Even my picky eater was able to eat, not easy in small town restaurants.
Truly the most bizarre and unpleasant experience I have ever had at a restaurant. The chef was/server kept sniffing and wiping his nose on his sleeve--he seemed quite out of it. The place was dark and dirty and the plants were dying. The counter was littered with the unidentified mechanical parts and stale food. Chef brought me the wrong thing and when I politely told him he exploded and called me a liar and banged around the kitchen swearing. And the food was godawful. As my friend said "I would not have tipped him, except that I was afraid he had a gun."
A great place to stop for a quick bite to eat
This place is off the main street in Burns. The food is fantastic and the place is very old Western. The owner makes fantastic food and gives great service.
A made up name for the place, Rhonda/John. Kind of tells you how creative these folks are. I have to say the age of the building put me off a little but after all this is Burns. On a side street just off the highway. The food was great and the one woman staff had some character. I feel like we made a discovery. Recommend it if your traveling.
I had the warm spinach and bacon salad and enjoyed the cuisine and conversation with the owner. The huckleberry wine I purchased for later was also sweet and smooth. A cultural oasis in a sparsely populates area.
You know when people talk about grandma's cooking and everyone smiles and wants some. This is who taught her.
Got there close to closing (9pm) traveling through with a dog so asked if we could get a quick meal to go. Was told it was fine to eat outside (chairs already were already taken inside). Totally accommodated us AND the food was delicious! I had a chicken gyro and my husband had a Greek salad. Both dishes were fresh, beautifully to look at and plentiful. Total cost around 40 bucks including beer, wine and tip.
Great food here...salad and soup du jour were excellent ...and the main course was top notch...the owner/chef/server even offered to make a dish off the menu...great find in Burns!
Entered the restaurant shortly after opening much to the dismay of the individual working. After grunting and muddling off to the kitchen we sat in darkness for 5 minutes before leaving the establishment.
This was a surprising find in Burns. I had a delicious lamb gyro with lots of veggies. Reasonable prices, small but varied menu, friendly service, a great place to stop for lunch.
Best arugula I've had in ages. Unique clam chowder, and quite good. Mediocre gyro, though with feta with very little flavor. All in all though, and considering it's Burns, is easy there again.
